Still More Open Doors

We are still involved in planting a Burn on the YWAM base, and God is moving! This month we will have our second 24-hour Burn. The first weekend in April is the Inspire Worship & Missions conference, and for the first time ever, there will be a 56-hour Burn going on for days leading up to the conference! The really awesome part is that this idea didn’t even come from our team, but from a staff member in the mobilization department! Our team jumped on board with enthusiasm, obviously, and we are bringing Burners from all over the region to take part in the 56 hours. We are so looking forward to the fruit that God will birth out of this honoring of His Presence on the base!! Update: The base has had to cancel the Inspire conference this year in order to honor guidelines in the midst of the Covid-19 situation, as well over 1,000 were expected to attend. At this time, we are still planning to carry out the 56-hour BURN. We will use wisdom, but we will NOT come into agreement with fear!

We have also been working with a House of Prayer in Tyler that is now interested in becoming a Burn. We had the opportunity to do a worship training workshop there a week and a half ago, and it was amazing! We work closely with the other Burn leaders in our region, and building on an inspiration God gave to the Galveston crew, we seem to have stumbled on a very effective God-idea – doing day or weekend-long trainings to give people a taste of the Burn. These workshops are a safe place to step out in spontaneous song, practice flowing with Holy Spirit in worship, and receive training to understand WHY we do extended worship and what amazing fruit we can expect from time in His Presence. Of course, there is also LOTS of practice just Burning together. We have gotten such great feedback from the February workshop (which we called Fireside – click here for videos and scroll to the bottom), and already there are opportunities presenting themselves to do more of these trainings around our region.

We can see how quickly these workshops could become a work of their own, as after the one in Tyler we immediately began receiving requests to do others. When we consider that this represents the need for this kind of training in our own small area, and that our Burn region encompasses not only Texas, but five additional states, it becomes clear that this is something we could give a lot of time and travel to in the near future. We have also been offered a few other opportunities this week that are VERY exciting, but I can’t tell you about those just yet. 😉

I’ve only described a few of the MANY doors we are seeing the Lord open for us right now. You can see why we are realizing that even while we are ministering primarily in the U.S. this year, we absolutely must have a strong team of prayer warriors behind us, and we definitely have to raise funds in order to be free to travel and teach as He is directing us in this season. Please consider partnering with us. We would love to meet with you!
